An LGBTQIA+ running club
since 1992
Front Runners de Paris brings together more than 750 members around a shared passion: running together in a caring and inclusive environment open to everyone. No particular level is required: everyone can join us, whatever their pace, goals or experience.
Inclusion, diversity, respect, kindness, solidarity and commitment are at the heart of our association: values we bring to life both in our training sessions and throughout the social moments that shape club life.
Every year, Front Runners de Paris organises the iconic Valentine’s Day Race. With 1,200 participants, it takes place in February in Parc des Buttes-Chaumont and provides visibility for LGBTQIA+ people.
A non-profit association governed by the French law of 1901 and run entirely by volunteers, the club offers varied training sessions throughout the year, led by coaches and volunteers, as well as social and activist activities.

Our story, one stride at a time
Inspired by the novel The Front Runner de Patricia Nell Warren, the first Front Runners club was founded in San Francisco in 1974. The movement then spread across borders, united by the same values of inclusion and diversity.
In 1992, Paris welcomed France’s first Front Runners club. Today, our association is part of a network of around one hundred clubs worldwide.
