Association

How we are organised

The Board

Made up of thirteen members elected for a one-year term, it administers the association in accordance with the directions approved at the Annual General Meeting. The entire Board is renewed every year.

Sexual and gender-based violence and harassment contacts

Front Runners de Paris has a protocol covering sexual and gender-based violence and harassment. Anyone may contact the designated contacts, and cases are handled anonymously.

The Oversight Committee

Made up of four members, it safeguards respect for people within the association, the decisions of the General Meeting and the association’s democratic operation.

Activism & Commitments

Running together is also a way to make sport more welcoming, more visible and more responsible.

Being yourself

We stand for sport in which everyone can participate freely without hiding their identity, orientation or personal journey.

Visibility and challenging discrimination

Our presence at races and sporting events helps make LGBTQIA+ people visible and challenges prejudice.

Taking collective action

We take part in Pride and work with community networks. Our Sport & Trans Charter affirms a respectful welcome for trans and non-binary people.

More responsible sport

We seek to reduce the environmental impact of our activities through more sustainable practices, travel and events.

Volunteering

Front Runners de Paris is entirely volunteer-run. Every contribution, large or small, helps the community thrive.

At your own pace

You can help occasionally at an event or contribute more regularly, depending on your interests and availability.

Many ways to help

Welcoming runners, training, races, communications, events, logistics and club life all benefit from everyone’s ideas and skills.

Building connections

Volunteering is an opportunity to meet other members, share your skills and build a welcoming community together.

Social life

Club life continues well beyond the finish line: throughout the year, we create opportunities to spend time together.

Travelling together

Several weekends accessible by train are organised each year around marathons or trail running. They help build connections between members.

Social events

At various points in the year, we organise social events for members: a season-opening party, a Christmas party, the traditional French « Galette des Rois et Reines » celebration, board-game afternoons and the famous Valentine’s Day party.

Inter-club activities

We regularly organise exchanges with other Paris LGBTQIA+ associations. We also take part each year in the TIP, EuroGames and Gay Games.

Sharing culture

Books, theatre, cinema and cultural discoveries inspire outings suggested by and for members. Every quarter, we meet in a café to discuss books as part of Dimanche autour d’un livre.

Road Races & Trails

Each season, the Front Runners de Paris take part in road races and trails, in Île-de-France or across other regions of France, and sometimes even in neighboring countries. Our calendar is highly varied, with events ranging from 5K to marathons, or even further—because when you love it, you don’t count the kilometers!

Two marathon programmes

Twice a year, a dedicated program helps runners prepare for the marathons featured on the club’s calendar. It is a collective adventure that calls for pushing beyond your limits. And what a joy on race day!

Two trail programmes

The trail program allows members to train surrounded by nature through weekend long runs in the forests of the Île-de-France region (Meudon, Montmorency, Fontainebleau). Just because we are a Paris-based club doesn’t mean we can’t run in nature!

Regional Trail Weekends

Once or twice a year, we offer group trips to the mountains or the seaside to discover or hone trail running skills. We run together, with routes tailored to everyone.

A cross-country skiing weekend

Every winter, we organize a friendly, sociable weekend centered around cross-country skiing for all skill levels. The most anticipated highlight of the trip is the traditional fondue evening!
